If you’re like me, this is one of the first pages I click on because I love to see who is behind the magic I’m looking at on this computer screen and how the world did they get there?
I’m Amy Stackhouse (well, I just recently became Amy Wilson, as I married my best friend, Tyler, in 2022!) — a food & product photographer with a love for fresh ingredients & being outdoors.
Formal Stuff
I grew up in Omaha, NE but attended college at the University of Central Missouri where I graduated with my Bachelor’s of Science in Photography in May 2016. Afterwards, I promptly moved to Kansas City to cut my teeth in the “big city.” I worked as a freelance photographer, assistant, and stylist for commercial photographers as well as a food & prop stylist assistant at Hallmark Inc.
In 2019, I packed my bags for another city where I didn’t know a single person — Salt Lake City, UT to work with Kodiak Cakes as their food & lifestyle photographer. While the food scene is a bit different than Kansas City, the mountains truly feel like home and I have no plans of leaving them anytime soon.
After Kodiak Cakes, I worked with Vital Proteins as their content producer and photographer, giving me more experience in the wellness industry and expanding my skills on the production side of things.
I love learning and take pride in my hard work ethic and team effort attitude. I love collaborating with other creatives and seeing how different minds and ideas can come together to make something new.
Fun Stuff
I love to cook, camp, hike, travel, garden, and hang out with my family — my husband, Tyler, 2 goofy black labs, Jasper & Jax, and our newest addition, our son, Ezekiel!
While I’m new to gardening, it has sparked a new passion in me for all things homemade, and my dream is to one day own a homestead fit with a dairy cow and plenty of chickens!
One of my greatest adventures includes the 2 months I spent traveling, photographing, and eating my way through Europe over the summer. I MUST go back to Italy!
